 Korg Releases Second Generation Ear MetronomeKorgPosted 2004-05-16 Korg, the industry leader in metronome and tuner technology, introduces the MM-2 MetroGnome. Based on the MM-1 — the world’s smallest metronome — the MM-2 offers all the features of its predecessor, plus improved comfort and sound quality.
Lightweight and unobtrusive, the MM-2 has a full-size wrap around piece that gently hooks over the ear, and a compact body with padded speaker that rests against the earlobe. A piezo electric speaker with volume control offers enhanced amplification. It has 38 selectable tempo steps in a range from 40-208 BPM, as well as selectable time signatures (from 1/4 through 7/4), plus 8th notes, triplets, and 16th notes.
The streamlined MM-2 comes with four interchangeable faceplates in assorted colors, and two different ear clips for a more comfortable fit. It is powered by a 3V Lithium battery.
The micro metronome was created for musicians practicing in high volume situations. Because of its proximity to the ear, it can always be heard. It eliminates straining to hear a “traditional” metronome, or the use of headphones, whose additional cables interfere with freedom of movement.
