 2004 BILLBOARD LATIN MUSIC AWARDS USE AUDIO-TECHNICA MICROPHONES FOR WORLD-CLASS SOUNDAudio-TechnicaPosted 2004-07-04 Latin Music’s longest running and most celebrated awards show earned an even higher profile this year, with the 2004 Billboard Latin Music Awards honoring both revered legends and emerging artists. Held at the Miami Arena on April 29, 2004, the awards show was the culmination of the well-attended Latin Music Conference; and it set the benchmark for this burgeoning market with a night of rousing performances and touching tributes. Prestigious audio industry figures and excited fans in attendance enjoyed outstanding sound quality, thanks in part to the widespread use of Audio-Technica microphones. With its support of the Billboard Latin Music Awards, A-T has further established its commitment to Latin Music and expanding its international presence through the formation of key partnerships.
Michael Abbott, Audio Coordinator for the Latin Music Awards, has come to rely on the uncompromising quality of Audio-Technica mics through his experience working with notable broadcast events, including the GRAMMY® Awards and the MTV Latin America Video Music Awards. The audio equipment selection for this year’s Billboard Latin Music Awards was particularly critical, as the show was broadcast live on Telemundo for the first time.
