 KORG Offers New Software Bundle for microKONTROL Dubbed “Kreative Control Pack”KorgPosted 2004-10-05 Korg’s award-winning microKONTROL USB-MIDI controller is now bundled with three software products suited for dance music creation and performance — Ableton Live Lite 4 Korg Edition; SampleTank 2 Korg Edition; MDE-X — collectively known as the Kreative Control Pack. Ableton’s Live Lite 4 Korg Edition is a “Lite” edition of the latest version of the audio/MIDI loop based sequencer. Featuring two plug-in instruments and five plug-in effects, it enables MIDI loops and phrases to be triggered and played with microKONTROL’s pads, for intuitive, real-time song creation. This version contains audio and MIDI recording functions and a host of editing functions as well.
IK Multimedia’s SampleTank 2 Korg Edition is a free version of the sampler plug-in software, with specially-created CC settings for microKONTROL. Its sound library contains over 39 types of sounds, with 160 MB in total.
Finally, MDE-X is the full version of Korg Legacy Collection’s multi-effect, VST/Audio Units plug-in software containing 19 effects. It can be used as audio effects in Live Lite 4 Korg Edition’s audio/MIDI tracks and send/return tracks.
With SampleTank 2 Korg Edition and MDE-X plugged into Live Lite 4 Korg Edition, the user can control them physically with microKONTROL, for intuitive dance music creation or performance.
