Peavey Co-Sponsors Scotty's 2004 International Steel Guitar Convention Press Release 2004-10-09
St. Louis—Peavey Electronics Corporation and Scotty's Music of Overland, Mo., co-sponsored the 33rd annual International Steel Guitar Convention, held in St. Louis September 2-5. The event attracted thousands of spectators, steel guitar enthusiasts and performers, including Peavey endorsers Randy Beavers, Tommy Dodd, Danny Hullihen and Sarah Jory.
Peavey exhibited a wide range of products in the convention's popular Peavey Demo Room, such as exclusive Jack Daniel's‚ musical instruments, Generation™ USA guitars, the TriFlex™ sound system and HP Signature‘ guitars. Jam-packed attendance at the Peavey Demo Room enhanced the daily product seminars, as Peavey endorsers shared their knowledge about performing and explained how they achieve their signature sounds using Peavey steel guitar amplifiers. Attendees also demoed the many products on display.
In the convention's main ballroom, a tri-amped Peavey sound system provided the main stage performers with power and clarity. Peavey has been the exclusive choice for sound system and backline amplifiers for this event since 1976, and Peavey dealer DeWitt Scott Sr. and family have hosted all of the conventions since its inception in the early 1970s.
