New Software Bundle for Tascam's Computer Interfaces Adds Free Recording, Sampling and Plug-Ins Software(Tascam | Posted 2004-11-07)  A new software bundle included with TASCAM computer interfaces adds Cubase LE 96kHz/48-track recording software, the new GigaStudio 3 LE streaming sampled instrument and Nomad Factory plug-in demos for a complete professional recording package. The software bundles will be included with TASCAM's FireWire- and USB-based computer audio interfaces: the US-122, US-224, US-428, FW-1804, FW-1082 and FW-1884.
"Most bundled 'pro' software constrains you to 32-track, 48kHz recording," states Jim Bailey, Product Manager for TASCAM. "We searched for a 21st-century approach to recording, and we found it in Cubase LE. With 48-track recording at 96kHz/24-bit resolution by the team that brought us Nuendo, we were sure that we had the best recording quality possible for our FireWire and USB computer audio interfaces. We added GigaStudio 3 LE, the latest version of world's best streaming sampler, and Nomad Factory demo plug-ins. Whether someone's looking to recording acoustic instruments at 96kHz/24-bit audiophile resolution, sequence sampled instruments or mix with vintage processors and guitar amplifiers, TASCAM provides the software tools to make these things happen for no extra charge."
Cubase LE for Mac OS X and Windows XP computers can play back up to 48 audio tracks and 64 MIDI tracks. It records at 96kHz/24-bit resolution for extended range recording of acoustic instruments. It supports VST plug-in effects and instruments. Sophisticated MIDI track editing is included, and loop slice, stretch, groove and tempo analysis assist in rock and dance music production.
GigaStudio 3 LE is based on the latest version of world's best streaming sampler. GigaStudio 3 LE has all of the features of its bigger brothers like ReWire capability, VST plug-in hosting, 96kHz/24-bit sample playback, GigaPulse SP convolution effects and compatibility with all GigaStudio sample libraries. It includes the "MegaPiano" piano library, based on TASCAM's acclaimed GigaPiano 2 sample.
Nomad Factory demos of Blue Tubes Bundle 2.0, Rock Amp Legends and Liquid bundle plug-ins are included in VST, HTDM, RTAS and AU formats for Mac and PC computers. A free Nomad Factory delay plug-in does not expire with the other demos.
