Gibson and BMI present Press/Band Night at UK Hard Rock

Gibson rockers Rob Reynolds, Iain Archer, Paulo Nutini, Jon Allen and Karen David highlighted an evening of up-and-coming artists, presented to the press by BMI at the UK Hard Rock Café (Oct. 26). Newcomer KT Tunstall headlined the show. Gibson was onstage in full force, providing full lineup of guitars on stage for the artists to perform with, including a left-handed J-200, a Southern Jumbo, a J-45 and a Dove Artist.
Rob Reynolds, who is signed to Invisible Hands Music, has released three albums, the latest being Sightseeing. He has also supported rocker Midge Ure.
Iain Archer’s brand new hit single “Summer Jets,” is topping UK Charts, from his album Flood the Tanks on Bright Star/PIAS (Play It Again Sam) Records. Iain has also co-written three tracks on the Snow Patrol album, Last Straw, including the big hit single “Run.”
Triple threat Karen David, a singer-songwriter and actress, is currently signed to EMI Music Publishing, and has appeared in the film “Bollywood Queen.” Karen is also featured in the new MTV sitcom “Top Buzzer” which is scheduled to begin this month.
Currently unsigned acts include 17-year-old Scottish artist Paulo Nutini, who is managed by Morse Code Management, and Jon Allen, who is managed by Trish Hillis. Jon has supported folk artist Damien Rice and has an EP titled “Young Man Blues,” which is released on his own label.
Headliner KT Tunstall’s latest EP, “False Alarm,” is out now on Relentless/Virgin and published by Sony Music, and her debut album, Eye to the Telescope is set for release on December 6th. KT made her television debut, by performing live on “Later with Jools Holland” on October 22nd.
