Peavey Amplifier Wins Major Award from Guitar Player Readers

SAN MATEO, Calif.—Guitar Player readers crowned the Peavey Triple XXX guitar amplifier Best Amp Head in the magazine's Readers' Choice Awards. The opinion poll, published in its November 2004 issue, queried readers on their favorite guitars, amplifiers and accessories of all time.
"On the eve of our 40th anniversary, this Readers' Choice Award is a fitting tribute to Hartley Peavey's ongoing dedication to innovation," says Bill Xavier, senior manager of North American sales at Peavey and former product development manager for the Triple XXX. "Hartley founded this company to give working musicians unsurpassed tone, features and reliability, and the Triple XXX Series is the modern refinement of that vision."
Professional and amateur guitar players have embraced the Peavey Triple XXX Series with equal fervor since its 2001 debut. These distinctive guitar amps have since become one of the company's best-selling amp series in its 40-year history—no small achievement for such a new product, especially in a company with such a rich history of innovation.

The stylish Triple XXX amps are the ultimate all-tube, high gain amplifiers, with thick Crunch, searing Ultra and sparkling Clean tones and responsive active EQ on the Crunch and Ultra channels. Triple XXX amps come with a custom three-setting damping switch, which alters speaker resonance to create tight, medium and loose tones—from a precise, exacting sound to a huge, full sound.
