NAMM Update: Roland V-Club Electronic Drums(Roland | Posted 2001-07-23)  Our last stop, but certainly not least, was the Roland / Boss booth on Sunday. Our PR buddy Tara showed us around to all of the great new products and we received in-depth demos of each new unit.
One of the most exciting things for you drummers and home recording freaks out there will surely be the V-Club Electronic Drum Kit. With an MSRP around $1400, this unit comes packed with some incredible sounding samples and is a sturdy and easy to play kit as well.
The word from Roland is:
"The V-Club Set arrives as Roland's most affordable compact drum system, bringing the world's leading drum sounds and acclaimed playability to a new price point. This expandable set is based around the all-new TD-6 Percussion Sound Module, newly developed rubber drum pads, and new dual-trigger cymbal pads with choke capabilities, giving you the power to sound and play your best."

- Affordable new compact drum system based around TD-6 Percussion Sound Module and new drum and cymbal pads
- TD-6 Percussion Sound Module offers 64-voice polyphony, 1,024 high-quality drum sounds, 262 backing sounds, 99 kits and a 6-part sequencer
- Five PD-6 8.5" rubber pads provide durable, reliable triggering
