Yamaha Offers Durable New “Battery Pack” Soft Cases for Drums

Yamaha Corporation of America, Band & Orchestral Division, has recently unveiled a full line of new Marching Percussion Soft Bags called “Battery Packs” for snare drums, multi-toms and bass drums.

Yamaha's new "Battery Packs"
“The cases, made of durable black Nylon fabric with half-inch high-density foam padding, adjustable straps and reinforced rubber handles for hand or shoulder carry, are currently available. Their “clamshell” design closes with two heavy-duty zippers, and the snare and tenor bags feature a screen-printed Yamaha Percussion logo on the top flap. The new bags supplement the optional use of hard cases, which they fit inside.”

“The new marching percussion soft bags help fill a void in the care and protection of marching percussion instruments,” says Troy Wollwage, Marketing Manager, Percussion. “Schools spend a lot of time and effort to raise money for new instruments, and it makes sense that their care and protection be of equal importance. A drumline, or ‘battery percussion,’ will take a lot of abuse without the proper protection. The luggage area of the bandbus or the back of the equipment truck can be the worst enemy for percussion instruments if they are not securely protected.”

The new PCS series cases fit marching snare drums, multi-toms and bass drums.

The new cases are ideal for players of all levels in marching percussion ensembles at the junior high school, high school or university levels, as well as drum corps and independent ensembles. The marching percussion soft bags are durable and easily fit into Yamaha’s hard cases, ensuring the longevity and use of Yamaha marching drums. Organizations can save money in the long run by protecting their instruments with these bags while reducing the need for parts, maintenance and replacements down the road.
