Cakewalk® Adds 64-bit Computing Resources to DAW Labs PC Resource Guide

Cakewalk, developer of the leading music and sound software for Windows, today announces the addition of 64-bit computing information resources to the Cakewalk DAW Labs PC Resource Guide found on the Cakewalk website http://www.cakewalk.com/PCResource/default.asp.

The new 64-bit computing resource pages are available to all free of charge and provide a wealth of information including helpful tips to assist in getting you up and running with a 64-bit system.

The new 64-bit computing resource pages include recommendations on available 64-bit enabled workstations, audio and MIDI interfaces and their drivers, the 64-bit operating system, and an insightful FAQ.

Earlier this year, Cakewalk continued in its leadership role by ushering in the future of audio recording, editing, and mixing on the PC, with the announcement of SONAR x64 Technology Preview, the world’s first fully native 64-bit digital audio workstation (DAW). The x64 Technology Preview version of SONAR 4 Producer Edition, includes the entire application, along with a collection of additional DirectX effects, synths, and samplers to spotlight the advantages of music production in a 64-bit processing environment.

The SONAR x64 Technology Preview is available for free download from the Cakewalk web site at www.cakewalk.com/x64. Additionally, a white paper that presents benefits of x64 for audio workstations authored by Cakewalk’s Chief Technical Officer and President of Engineering, Ron Kuper is available at http://www.cakewalk.com/x64/whitepaper.asp.

Cakewalk product specialists will stage demonstrations of SONAR x64 Technology Preview hosted by Edirol North America at NAB05 in Las Vegas, April 18 – 21 at booth SL4926.
