Five Towns College's New John Lennon Center for Music & Technology Showcases Korg Gear(Korg | Posted 2005-05-16) Five Towns College of Dix Hills, New York, is dedicated to providing its students with cutting-edge tools to explore jazz/contemporary music, media and the performing arts. The school is now even better equipped to accomplish this following the April opening of the Five Towns College John Lennon Center for Music & Technology. Korg’s industry-leading products were chosen as integral components in a desktop music production learning lab that now resides in the new center, including 25 of the acclaimed Korg TRITON Music Workstations and a GEC3 Group Education Controller.
The new Technology Center was dedicated in a ribbon cutting ceremony, followed by a musical tribute production in honor of John Lennon. Local politicians joined faculty and students for the celebration, which was also attended by Yoko Ono.
