Nearly two years after opening its doors to the NY audio community with a new state-of-the-art facility, SAE Institute, the world leader in pro audio and electronic music education, is hosting an industry-wide Open House on Sunday May 15th, 2005. The event takes place from 2:00 – 5:00 pm at 1293 Broadway (9th Floor) and will highlight SAE New York’s campus facility that is located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan on Herald Square. Key engineers, producers, media, equipment manufacturers and members of the press are invited to attend as SAE continues to expand with greater involvement and integration into the unique musical marketplace for which New York City is known.

A series of technology demonstrations, conducted by some of SAE’s award-winning faculty members, will give attendees a first-hand look at the production and creation techniques used by top artists and producers around the globe. Seminar instructors will include:

Steve Pageot — This GRAMMY® award winning producer (Aretha Franklin, Krayie Bone, Snoop Dogg) will be teaching his unique mixing techniques in SAE’s SSL 4000 G+ room.

Rich Tozzoli — A producer, mixer and multi-channel surround sound authority (Carly Simon, Average White Band, Foghat, Al DiMeola), Rich will be discussing surround sound and how to remix as well as record in this format.

Michael White — Known for engineering work (Whitney Houston, James Taylor, Talking Heads, Rolling Stones), Michael will be demonstrating on SAE’s Neve 88R recording console.

The event takes place Sunday May 15th, 2005, 2:00-5:00pm at 1293 Broadway (between 33rd and 34th Street) on the 9th floor.
