Ace of Bass: American Audios Impact 3 Satellite Speaker System Delivers(American Audio | Posted 2005-06-11)  DJs and mobile entertainers everywhere will soon be showing off their big bottoms as American Audio introduces the Impact 3 System. Consisting of a 15" powered subwoofer for extreme lows and two 8", 2-way satellite speakers, the compact and highly portable system gives new meaning to the term “boom box.”
The Impact 3 Systems 300-watt subwoofer features a 3-channel amplifier for a fat, full and thundering sound that will shake the foundation of any venue. The subwoofer amp also drives the two 180-watt satellite speakers, each of which includes a 1" high frequency driver for crisp, sparkling highs. An adjustable electronic crossover is built into the subwoofer to allow for maximum system flexibility, giving users ultimate control over the systems wide-ranging low end.
Designed for convenient, easy transport, the Impact 3 System stacks up neatly into one compact unit. The satellite speakers fit on top of the wheeled subwoofer cabinet, which has a securing strap to hold them firmly in place during transit. Both the subwoofer and satellites are equipped with built-in handles, making setup and teardown of the system a total breeze. Each satellite speaker comes with a pole socket to accommodate a speaker stand (sold separately), and all the necessary component cables come included with the system.

The Impact 3 subwoofer has a frequency response of 40~500Hz, and its crossover frequency is 40~500Hz adjustable. It measures 28"L x 21.5"W x 23"H and weighs 92.5 lbs.
Specifications for the Impact 3 Systems two satellite speakers include 96dB@1W/1M sensitivity, 80~19,000Hz frequency response and a crossover frequency of 3,500Hz. Featuring single speakon inputs, each satellite speaker measures 23.5"L x 15.3"W x 23"H and weighs 20.9 lbs.
