But in a move that could crazier than partnering with Stephen Baldwin (or any Baldwin brother for that matter), Guitar World reports that Head is trying to convey God's message to hardcore hip-hopper 50 Cent via a new song entitled "A Cheap Name," to be featured on the guitarist's upcoming debut solo album. Head tells Guitar World: "In my video for 'A Cheap Name," I'm playing a game with the rappers. It might seem a little arrogant, but the way you need to work in the world today is to pass along wisdom and knowledge through music. The second verse goes, 'You're nowhere near the teachings of Martin Luther King. Did you forget all about his dream now? It's time you choose. The wrath is here. Think back to 9/11, it's so clear. I sing for your people you failed here. There is no excuse.'" Head goes on to say: "The stuff that 50 is saying isn't helping anybody. The kids that live in the 'hood are suffering. I'm not going after 50; I'm doing it because I love people, and he's not making things better for those kids at all." Let's hope Fiddy's got his Bible handy. |
