Line 6, inventors of the first digital modeling bass, guitar and amplifier, announced today the newest addition to the POD family, Bass PODXT Live is now shipping to its retail dealers. Bass PODXT Live is a multi-effect floor processor that provides premium bass tone and professional features in one rugged, stage-ready unit. With features from Line 6’s studio standard Bass PODXT, Bass PODXT Live delivers an amazing range of stompbox, studio, synth effects, bass amplifier and cabinet models, plus a digital Variax Bass 700 input, and USB computer connectivity.

Bass PODXT Live can be used as the ultimate multi-effect pedal for any bass amp, a complete direct PA solution, or creative recording device for studio work. Bass PODXT Live provides over 50 sought-after models of stompbox, synth, and studio effects. Bass PODXT Live includes a must-have collection of compressor, chorus, flanger, distortion, synth, filter, rotary, and delay effects.

Bass PODXT Live also delivers a comprehensive collection of bass amp models that have been used on countless hit recordings. Based on the most prized bass amplifiers in history, Bass PODXT Live features 28 amp models, 22 cab models and 4 microphone model options providing a complete tonal palette for any type of live gig or studio session. The effects can be positioned in front (stomp), and behind (post) the amp and cab models, offering organic and classic bass tones. Bass PODXT Live also features a dedicated compressor, 6 band semi-parametric EQ, plus discreet dry and modeled outputs.

Bass PODXT Live provides access to 64 channel memories via gig-ready channel footswitches. Features also include a large backlit display, dedicated stompbox on/off switches, combination volume/expression/wah pedal, tap tempo/silent tuner switch, an expression pedal input, 1/4-inch analog Amp/Line outs, headphone out, aux input for CD/Mp3 playback, MIDI, and USB computer connectivity for digital I/O.

In addition to the standard analog bass input, a Line 6 Variax modeling bass digital input seamlessly integrates Variax's collection of basses with Bass PODXT Live’s assortment of amps, cabs, and effects. This entire setup can be instantly transformed into virtually any setup imaginable with just the press of a footswitch.
