Yamaha RGX-A2 Electric is a Real Revolution

The all new Yamaha RGX-A2 electric guitar is truly a marvel of modern musical instrument technology—both inside and out. Weighing in at a mere 5 1/2 pounds, the RGX-A2 features a proprietary A.I.R. (Alternative Internal Resonance) constructed body, LED illuminated cylindrical diecast knobs and cylindrical tuners, aluminum hardware and Yamaha Alnico soapbar pickups, making it a high-tech transport for musical creativity, whether you’re an amateur or a pro in the market for a unique first or second instrument.

On the inside, A.I.R. construction features a lightweight wood core sandwiched between harder, heavier wood on both the front and back body surfaces. Special interior “sound tubes” pass through the body to allow the entire internal area to vibrate. The vibrations are then intensified and channeled straight to the pickups for a fat, punchy output.

Outside, the look of the RGX A2 is nothing short of stunning. An LED-lit cylindrical diecast pickup selector knob (blue for the bridge, green for the neck) and master volume are great for dark or low-lit stages. Combine this with lightweight barrel tuners, a Yamaha original fixed bridge, and the White and Aircraft Gray finish, and the RGX-A2 stands out from any other electric. The RGX-A2 has a bolt-on Maple neck, smooth 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard and Yamaha Alnico soapbar pickups that bring out the sound, from classic to crushing.

“The RGX-A2 is a modern masterpiece,” says Bryan Savage, marketing manager, Yamaha Guitars. “It takes the classic RGX design and combines it with revolutionary Yamaha technology to create a striking guitar with remarkable tone and playability.”

The Yamaha RGX-A2 is currently available.
