Peavey Introduces New PV* Series Mixers with Exclusive Reference-Quality Mic PreampsPeaveyPosted 2005-07-29 Peavey has added several new, feature-laden mixers to its long-running PV Series, including the PV 20 and four compact mixers, the PV 6, PV 8, PV 10 and PV 14.
The PV Series has long been the benchmark of performance and value in audio, and these new PV mixers reinforce this legacy. With exclusive Peavey reference-quality microphone preamps-featuring an astonishingly low THD (total harmonic distortion) of 0.0007%-these new mixers are equally useful in project studios or live- and program-music mixing situations.
The PV 10, PV 14 and PV 20 feature built-in DSP effects with multiple reverbs and delays, plus vocal enhancer and much more, while a USB port on the PV 20-available as an option on the PV 10 and PV 14-allows direct connection to a USB-equipped computer for recording from the mixer or playing back digital audio (compatible with Windows XP, ME & 2000). These three models also include pre-fader monitor sends; post-fader effects send; inserts on all channels; and dual, switchable line inputs on the two stereo channels.
All PV Series mixers include our Tape to Control Room and Tape to Mix assigns, which allow the operator to monitor an external stereo signal without using any of the mixer's channels. In addition, the mixers' Control Room output sends a stereo master output signal to an external source for monitoring. Phantom power, effects send and a contour switch are also standard on all models.
The PV 14, PV 10, PV 8 and PV 6 mixers are available now from authorized Peavey retailers. The PV 20, PV 14 USB and PV 10 USB will be available in Q3 2005.
