Roland is proud to announce they are now shipping the CD-2 CD/CF Recorder. For those who need to record audio fast and easy, and who want to burn quality CDs on the spot, the new CD-2 is the answer. Loaded with professional, easy-to-use features, the CD-2 records directly to CD or onto popular CompactFlash media (up to 2 GB capacity) for hours of recording time. Once recorded, audio can be edited, processed, and burned to CD.

A high-quality stereo microphone is built into the CD-2 for fast capture - just point and shoot. Or, if desired, external mics can be plugged in via the CD-2's two XLR inputs, complete with phantom power. RCA inputs and outputs are provided for convenient connection to CD players, stereos, and the like. 1/4-inch inputs allow instruments to be directly connected as well.

Students will appreciate the CD-2's usefulness as an educational/practice tool, thanks to its built-in stereo speakers, speed/pitch control, tuner, and metronome. Lessons or musical passages can be easily recorded, and played back at a slower tempo while retaining the original pitch. Or pitch of the audio can be changed for play-along practice in different key signatures.

Enhance recording quality with the CD-2's lineup of professional audio effects, such as reverb, EQ, and compression. Make audio sound more ambient and lush, or punchy and crisp. Special tools are also provided for guitar and vocals, and the onboard Mastering effects help put the final polish on the mix before burning to CD.
