 Washburn Guitars, Proud Sponsor of Riot Fest 2005WashburnPosted 2005-10-29 Chicago, IL - Washburn Guitars announced today their involvement in this year's Riot Fest. Washburn will be sponsoring Riot Fest 2005, which is held at the Congress Theater on November 4th and 5th.
Riot Fest is the largest punk festival in the Midwest and the second largest in the United States. The event features legendary punk acts such as The Misfits and The Dead Kennedy's and the Germs, as well as, many Chicago based punk bands. There will be over 20 bands between the two days. A raffle will be held each night, in which a Washburn Idol electric guitar will be given away. "Riot Fest includes some of the most influential punk bands of modern history, many of these bands provided the sound track of my youth, so I am very excited to be providing support to a great punk rock show," explains David Karon, Artist Relations Director for Washburn Guitars.
