Korg Offers New "Creative Kontrol" Spftware Bundle for microKONTROL AND KONTROL49(Korg | Posted 2005-11-28)  Korg’s microKONTROL and KONTROL49 USB-MIDI controllers are now being bundled with a variety of popular software products suited for dance music creation and performance — Ableton Live Lite 4 Korg Edition; SampleTank 2 Korg Edition; Korg MDE-X effects; Reason Adapted for KORG and UVI Korg Edition — collectively known as the Creative Kontrol Pack, Volume 2.
Ableton’s Live Lite 4 Korg Edition is a “Lite” edition of the latest version of the audio/MIDI loop based sequencer. Featuring two plug-in instruments (a sampler and drum machine), five plug-in effects and hosting for VST/AU plug-ins, it enables MIDI and audio loops and phrases to be recorded and played back for intuitive, real-time song creation.
IK Multimedia’s SampleTank 2 Korg Edition is a special version of their free sampler plug-in software, containing over 39 types of sounds, for a total of 158 MB of content. Offering 16-part multi-timbrality, it also includes a variety of sound editing tools, including 3 types of powerful synth engines and 32 types of built-in effects.
MDE-X is the full version of Korg Legacy Collection’s multi-effect, VST/Audio Units plug-in software containing 19 effects. It can be used in Live Lite 4 Korg Edition’s audio/MIDI tracks and send/return tracks.
Reason Adapted for KORG is a slim version based on Reason 3.0, customized for Korg's USB-MIDI controllers. It contains a host of sound modules and effects (10 in total), can connect to Live via Rewire technology, and fully integrates the Korg controllers via their advanced Native Mode.
UVI Korg Edition is a sample playback, plug-in instrument using the same UVI engine as Ultimate Sound Bank’s latest plug-in software, Ultra Focus and X-treme. It contains a wide number of drum sounds from the Ultimate Sound Bank library, and features as many as 162 types of preset sounds using over 750 MB memory.
