Two New Ampeg Combo Amps get “Tubed” for 2006 Press Release 2006-02-15 Ampeg is pleased to announce the introduction of two new Bass amp Series combo amps with tube-driven preamps for additional warmth and coloration. The new BA115T and BA115HPT (shown) have all of the professional features of other Ampeg Bass amp Series combos, with the addition of a 12AU7 tube integrated into the preamp circuit. Both combos incorporate line out, 3-band EQ, Style control, and padded input options into a robust, tilt-back enclosure—making them ideal for stage, studio, or even the bedroom. The BA115T features 100 watts of power, a 15-inch driver, and a Piezo high-frequency component for additional punch and tonal clarity and at the upper end. The BA115HPT ups the power ante to 220 watts and incorporates a 1-inch compression driver in place of the Piezo transducer. In addition, the BA115HT adds dedicated input and master gain controls as well as CD input and Mute Switch. The Ampeg BA115T and BA115HPT, along with other new Ampeg products for 2006, are currently on display at the NAMM Convention in Anaheim, Calif., January 19-22.
