Peavey PR* Series Now Even Lighter with NEO Magnets
(Peavey | Posted 2006-03-01)

Peavey has made its lightweight PR Series enclosures even lighter and more efficient by upgrading to neodymium magnets. The PR Series delivers superior sound quality by utilizing the most advanced materials, such as a lightweight, road-worthy molded polypropylene enclosure that will endure years of load in/load out abuse. Now outfitted with efficient, lightweight neodymium magnets, the Peavey PR Series ranges from 47 lbs. on the powered PR 15P ($499.99 U.S. MSRP) to a mere 20 lbs. on the PR 10 ($189.99 U.S. MSRP).
The PR Series utilizes a 1.4" RX14* titanium diaphragm with high-frequency tweeter protection and 1" exit for crisp, clear highs, as well as a 2 3/8" voice coil woofer, a heavy duty crossover for reliable operation at higher power levels and a constant directivity horn with consistent sound distribution. Powered PR Series models are bi-amplified with 270 watts peak dynamic output, three input channels with level controls and built-in DDT* anti-clipping speaker protection.
The PR Series includes the PR 15 and 15P; PR 12 and 12P; PR 10 and 10P; and PR Sub, all made in the U.S.A.
The new PR Series enclosure with neodymium magnets will be available in Q1 2006 from authorized Peavey retailers.
