BEHRINGER Gauges Power From The Bass!
(Behringer | Posted 2006-04-05)

BEHRINGER, a world-leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of professional audio and musical instrument products, today announced the start of the Europe-wide initiative “Power from the bass!”. To support young musicians from all walks of life, BEHRINGER will donate 200 ULTRABASS BA810 and BB810 cabinets to non-profit organisations and schools organising music-related projects for the youth.
The initiative will last until July 2006 and the gear will be granted free-of-charge and with no obligations on a first-come-first-served basis. The institutions may either pick it up from the BEHRINGER European headquarters in Willich, Germany, or have it shipped to their locations¹.
Mr Mathias Schmidt, General Manager for Europe, explained the significance of the initiative for BEHRINGER, “Our brand is perceived as an enabler by thousands of musicians that were induced to active music-making by the possibilities BEHRINGER offers – quality gear at a fair price. With “Power from the bass!”, we want to highlight our genuine commitment to young music-makers by providing them with the biggest and most powerful professional gear of the BEHRINGER range, so that they can really let the power that comes from the base be heard.”
BEHRINGER might be following up on some projects and possibly upgrading them to “Power Users”, the BEHRINGER global endorsement programme for established artistes.
Institutions interested in “Power from the bass!” please log on www.behringer.com for the detailed terms and conditions, as well as the application form. Also log on to the BEHRINGER website for technical features of the ULTRABASS BA810 and BB810 cabinets.
¹Shipping costs are born by the institutions and most probably will not exceed 1/10 of the street price of the cabinets even for remote regions.
