Nady Systems is celebrating their 30th Anniversary this year with a host of events, acknowledgments, and special sales. Nady was officially incorporated in July 1976 and opened its doors for business by pioneering a revolutionary new technology—wireless microphones.

John Nady, CEO and founder of Nady Systems, has been widely recognized as the “Father of the Wireless Microphone”, having largely developed the technology which sold the music industry on the benefits of going cordless. Although this technology is now widely regarded as the norm, in its early days—when John developed his first prototype—it was considered groundbreaking and dramatic. And although prevailing opinion at the time did not clearly see or embrace John’s dream of playing electric guitar without being tethered to a cord, this quickly changed when a vast array of top touring bands began using the first run of Nady wireless. John personally introduced wireless to many of the top touring acts of the time (Jefferson Starship, Aerosmith, Neil Young, Stevie Wonder, Bruce Springsteen, Toto, Heart, Styx, and many others). His mission was simple: sell bands on the concept of wireless and how this new technology could radically transform the world of live stage performance. His mission was successful, and by the time Mick Jagger and the Stones used Nady gear on their 1981 tour (14 channels), Nady had legitimized wireless microphones and wireless guitar systems for rock music. The rest, as they say, is history.

The development of Nady wireless has had a dramatic impact on the music industry as a whole and has effectively helped change the face of music and live stage performance. Of course numerous other industries and markets have also been transformed by the introduction of wireless microphone technology. In recent years, Nady has expanded and diversified its line to include a broad spectrum of professional audio gear (speakers, mixers, amps, studio mics, effects pedals, etc) in addition to their ever-expanding line of wireless.
