Epiphone Sponsors Britbus Tour

The 2006 BritBus Tour rolled out from Los Angeles this year on April 30 and criss-crossed the US, making stops at some key cities before arriving in New York City on May 25 for an appearance on the CBS Early Show. The Tour then stopped briefly at the Hard Rock Café to pay homage and for photo ops before moving on to the Red Lion on Bleecker Street for an "almighty end of tour party". On Board were the latest wave of UK music talent and BritBus Tour founder, Julia Jones. The artists signed Epiphone Supernova guitars along the way and gave them away to some lucky fans.
This was the second coast-to-coast journey for Jones in her eccentric tour bus as part of a continued campaign to help other music fans across America hear about the latest and hottest UK acts.
According to Jones, "there are millions of people across the USA who have simply never heard of these young Brit bands although many of them are hugely successful in the rest of the world."
The new 'invasion' was recently featured in USA Today and is certainly gaining momentum across the country with many live shows by acts such as the Artic Monkeys and James Blunt selling out within hours. In a world where promotion can run into millions of dollars grass-roots marketing concepts such as The BritBus Tour and My Space can provide an increasingly important way of reaching an extensive audience. The hope is that once fans hear the music they will help trigger a frenzy of excited music lovers hungry to discover the next new talent.
