Washburn and Parker Guitars Launch “Chicago Guitar Shop” Video Podcast Series on iTunes and Yahoo(Parker | Posted 2006-07-09)  Washburn and Parker Guitars announce its new venture into video podcasting with the debut of the series “Chicago Guitar Shop”. Staring world renowned guitar luthier Gil Vasquez and crew - the internet series details the art, business and passion of making guitars for hard-working musicians and guitar heroes. The original series will highlight a different Washburn and Parker endorsed artist each month and the making of the artists’ guitar.
The current episode features Joe Trohman of Grammy nominated recording artists Fall Out Boy and the building of Joe’s Washburn Damen Idol. The episode details how Joe’s inspiration was brought to life by dedicated craftsmen, ending with Joe playing the guitar on stage. The premier episode features Dan Donegan of multi-platinum recording artists Disturbed and the making of Dan’s Washburn Maya. Currently in the works is a new episode that will feature Black Label Society’s Nick Catanese and the building of his summer Ozzfest Tour guitar - the Washburn Evil Twin Idol.
“Very few people get to see the passion and hard work that goes into crafting instruments for rock stars. It’s an interesting and entertaining environment so we’ve decided to open it up for the world to see.” Said Kevin Lello, Vice President of Marketing for Washburn Guitars.
“Chicago Guitar Shop” is now available for free download on iTunes, Yahoo and on Washburn Guitars MySpace page www.myspace.com/washburnguitars). Consumers do not need to own an iPod to download and view the series.
