The Florida Chapter of The Recording Academy is pleased to announce the opening of the entry process for the 2006 Florida GRAMMY Showcase. This event is designed to recognize new artists, with six finalists winning the opportunity to perform live at the 2006 Florida GRAMMY Showcase event on Nov. 29 at Studio A in Downtown Miami in front of an audience of music industry executives and their peers in the music community.

In addition to the chance to perform live before this influential audience, top finalists will receive artist development prize packages including items from CAD, Dean Markley, DiscMakers, Gibson, The Hit Factory Criteria, IK Multimedia, Korg, Morrisound Recording, SAE, Sam Ash, Ultrasone, and Vox. Event sponsors include GTC Media, FilMiami, SAE, and SunTrust.

To enter: Unsigned artists who are residents of Florida or Puerto Rico may enter by submitting an official entry form, two tracks of original material on CD, lyrics, a photo and bio (one page maximum).
