 Yamaha Debuts Tom / Stand CombosYamahaPosted 2002-04-11 Yamaha Drums offers drummers an easy, cost-effective way to expand their existing sets with add-on tom and stand combinations for a number of its most popular lines, including the YD Series, Stage Custom Standard and Stage Custom Advantage kits.
"Drummers have been asking for add-on toms for a long time," states Jerry Andreas, marketing manager, Yamaha Drums. "After all, why should anyone limit themselves to a five-piece set? These add-ons not only provide effortless expansion, but also match the look and sound of their present kits."
Toms are offered in all current YD and Stage Custom Finishes and will be available in June. New additions to the YD Series include an 8-in. and 10-in. tom set with a WS-760 double tom stand at an MSRP of $399.
Add-ons in 8-in./10-in. and 8-in./16-in. configurations-with a WS-765 double tom stand-are available for the Stage Custom Standard and Stage Custom Advantage kits, with respective MSRPs of $499/$599 and $579/$659.
"The combination of add-on toms and stands will make these already-popular kits even more attractive," notes Dave Jewell, product manager, Yamaha Drums.
