Roland is proud to announce it is sponsoring Disc Makers’ Independent Music World Series for the second consecutive year. The IMWS contest gives bands and musicians across the country an opportunity to showcase their talent and compete for prizes, including an impressive array of Roland products.

Roland Market Development Manager Corey Fournier relates, “Roland has always been a strong advocate of independent music and we’re always looking to show our support in unique and effective ways. Thanks to our relationship with Disc Makers, we’re now able to demonstrate our commitment to up-and-coming musicians in the form of top-of-the-line Roland tools that will help these artists propel themselves to the next level of musicianship and professionalism. The caliber of talent is always astounding and we’re excited to hear what the artists of today have in store for the world.”

The 2007 IMWS features showcases in San Francisco, New York, Nashville, and Austin and will award a huge Grand Prize at each show. Musician’s from all over the U.S. will be given the opportunity to perform in front of music industry VIPs and win the gear to build their own home recording studio, a 1,000 CD manufacturing package, showcases at major music conferences, cash money and much more.

This year, each of the four regional grand prize winners will receive a complete studio and production package including the Roland VS-2400CD Digital Studio Workstation and LCD monitor, the VS8F-3 expansion board, and a Roland Juno-G synthesizer.
