Gibson Guitar Sponsors Chicago Blues Festival June 7-10, 2007

Gibson Guitar, the world’s premiere musical instrument maker and leader in music technology announced their partnership with the 24th edition of the Chicago Blues Festival in Grant Park. The Chicago Blues Festival, which takes place June 7-10, 2007, is the world’s largest free admission festival of its kind, attracting thousands of fans to Chicago’s lakefront Grant Park. The festival features six stages and almost 100 sets, featuring local, national and international performers.

Gibson Guitar will sponsor the Crossroads Stage which will be host to the following acts: Carl Weathersby, Mighty Joe Young Jr., Osee Anderson and Da Blooze Folks, Hoochie Coochie Boys, Carlos Johnson and the Serious Blues Band, David Dee and Family , Elmore James Jr. with Cadillac Zack, Lil' Howlin' Wolf, Katherine Davis Blues Ensemble, and Maurice John Vaughn Blues Band.

Gibson will also provide music fans with the ultimate guitar experience. A “state-of-the-art” custom trailer will be on-site during the festival. The trailer will have thirteen interactive guitar stations with a combination of both Gibson and Epiphone guitars, each providing the guitar lover with their own opportunity to jam! Music fans can also register to win a new Gibson Les Paul Standard guitar.
