Audio-Technica Expands MicroSet® Headworn Microphone Offerings with New Wired Option

Audio-Technica has introduced a wired version of the MicroSet® subminiature omnidirectional condenser headworn microphone. Previously available only in wireless, the new AT892 MicroSet is designed to provide broadcast and video production professionals even greater versatility in situations where a hard-wired micro-miniature headworn microphone is required. The AT892 MicroSet is powered using Audio-Technica’s AT8539 power module (included). In addition, the AT8539 allows any Audio-Technica “cW” Wireless Essentials® microphone with 4-pin locking connector to be used in a wired configuration.
The MicroSet has become a top choice among broadcasters, on-camera talent, news reporters, sports commentators, theater performers, houses of worship and lecturers for its high-quality, low-profile operation and comfortable under-ear design. Blending in seamlessly and unobtrusively, the AT892 is available in a wide range of colors including classic black (AT892), theater beige (AT892-TH) and cocoa (AT892-CO).
