Edirol by Roland Releases Leopard Compatible Drivers

In coordination with Apple’s October 26 Leopard roll-out, Roland is proud to announce full Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard) compatibility for 38 EDIROL products after releasing driver updates earlier this month. EDIROL by Roland Product Manager Michael Barrett explains, “We are always striving to equip our customers with the latest, most up-to-date technology as it happens. We’re thrilled that we were able to synchronize our own research and development efforts with the release of the Leopard operating system. These new driver updates give our Mac users access to all of the operational improvements intrinsic in Mac OS 10.5, and will help to simplify the creative process.”

The Leopard compatible list includes the following EDIROL devices:

UM-1 Series, UM-2 Series, UM-3EX, UM-550, UM-880, PC-50, PC-300, PCR-300, PCR-500, PCR-800, PCR-M1, PCR-M30, PCR-M50, PCR-M80, PCR-30, PCR-50, PCR-80, SC-8820, SC-8850, SD-20, SD-80, SK-500

The FA-101 and FA-66 FireWire audio interfaces use Apple’s native drivers built into the Macintosh OS X platform, including Leopard.

* Existing EDIROL MIDI Drivers were tested and found to be fully compatible with Mac OS 10.5.

* Please check the Leopard compatibility of your audio/MIDI application and its system requirements when you use your EDIROL audio/MIDI device with Mac OS 10.5.
