NAMM Update: New Roland Fantom(Roland | Posted 2001-07-26) Once again we were wowed at the Roland booth. This time it was in the Keyboard / Synth / MIDI category where we got to check out the new Fantom workstation up close and personal.
Sporting more features than previous Roland workstations, in a more user friendly design, the Fantom really turned our heads. Check out the word from Roland below for the details:
If you're looking for an instrument that ignites music-making rather than slowing it down, look no further than the new Roland Fantom. Every aspect of this 76-note synthesizer keyboard-from its simplified user interface and sequencer to its variable Arpeggiator and Rhythm generator-has been thoughtfully designed to keep the music flowing, whether performing or in the studio. And with its expandable XV-Series sound engine and digital outputs, the Fantom has everything you could ever want in a workstation keyboard-except the work.

- "Always-active" high-resolution sequencer with Realtime Phrase Sequencing
- Large, angled LCD display with soft keys for faster, more intuitive operation
