Behringer EPA150 Portable PA Debuts

Tired of lugging around 400 pounds of PA gear to a one man acoustic set? Does your small band require a pasta dinner to load up on energy before loading the van for your next gig? Maybe your equipment is dragging you down. Behringer may have an exciting solution for you. Check out this latest product release about the Behringer EPA150! Versatility and power in a small, lightweight package. Isn't that what everybody wants? Yes! Isn't that what every product on the market should offer? Well, no. The last thing we want is for our competition to offer something as cool as an EPA150 at this price point. Lucky for us, they can't. Here at BEHRINGER, we sleep well knowing that. Case in point, the new EPA150 weighs in at a scant 26.4 lbs. (12 Kg), just a little less than a medium-sized dog. It also cranks 150 Watts of output, hence the name. How did we make it so lightweight? The answer is complex, but it has something to do with Class-D amplification and a switch-mode power supply, and how efficient and cool-running those technologies are. Something like that. Anyway, we managed to do away with heavy transformers and heat sinks. The EPA150 makes an ideal choice of PA system for band practices, corporate events, weddings, multimedia presentations, dances, and parties. The entire system converts from its easy-to-carry portable mode to a running PA setup in mere moments. We tried to get the EPA150 featured in the latest transformers sequel, but it was too late. You can hook up the EPA150 to darn well anything, including up to two XLR mics (channels 1 and 2) an instrument such as a guitar or keyboard (channel 3) and connect one stereo item like a digital media player or stereo drum machine in channels 4/5. The EPA150 comes with its own microphone and cable, and has a storage compartment for all your goodies. Supersmart engineers here at BEHRINGER developed the EPA150 to provide supreme sonic quality at an unheard of price point. With dual 4.5" woofers and a 1" tweeter on each detachable loudspeaker, the EPA150 fully covers the bass and treble ranges accurately, along with all those other frequencies in the middle. There's also a 7-band stereo graphic EQ with built-in Feedback Detection System, and an integrated effects processor with 100 presets. The EPA does it all. Go get one!
