Daisy Rock Girl Guitars, the original girl-guitar company, is extremely honored to announce the endorsement of American Idol finalist, Jackie Tohn. Performing professionally since the age of nine and starring in numerous plays, films and television shows, along with playing the local music circuits, Tohn’s career is on the brink of stardom. While attending the gifting suite for the American Music Awards, Jackie was captivated by the glimmer of Daisy Rock. Tohn immediately fell in love with the guitars and contacted Daisy Rock to come into the showroom and rock out. On Thursday, December 3, 2009, she eagerly made her way down to Van Nuys to meet with Tish Ciravolo, President and Founder of Daisy Rock. Tohn instantly lit up a room full of Daisy Rock staff with her apparent talent and charm. Everyone crowded around as she rocked out on an Atomic Pink Rock Candy Classic to a medley of Neil Young, Kings of Leon, Lady Gaga and many others, along with a couple original tunes. “WOW, you’ve got some crazy talent,” said an impressed Ciravolo.
“Miss Personality” as Ryan Seacrest dubbed her, is best known for her appearance in the Top 36 on Season 8 of the highly popular television show, American Idol. Jackie can also be seen on episodes of The Sopranos, Strangers With Candy, Angel, Veronica Mars , and It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia as well as films such as Bad Boy alongside Denis Leary and Deuces Wild--to name a few. Hailing from New York, Tohn has played in some of the hottest clubs and is now taking the Los Angeles music circuit by storm. Improper Magazine says, “On stage, she’s a cross between Bette Midler (only better looking) and Lauryn Hill. If Jackie lived on a park bench, she would put on shows for the pigeons. She can’t help it. Tohn is wired to entertain."
After jamming out in the showroom for two or three hours and kicking around with fellow Daisy Rocker Nicole Eggert, she had a tough deliberation between every guitar on the wall. Frantically pacing back and forth, Tohn ultimately decided to go with the White Lightning Stardust Retro-H De-Luxe and an Atomic Pink Wildwood Artist Deluxe. “Everyone at Daisy Rock RULES! Thank you, I love you!” read the note that Jackie wrote while jotting down her information. "Daisy Rock, ROCKS! For a guitar to sound AND look this good at the same time is beyond rad!" said Tohn.
