Dan Donegan of Disturbed on Tour with Randall(Randall | Posted 2003-01-06) Dan Donegan of Disturbed will be taking a much needed, but short break in January after relentless touring. During this break Dan will be coming by the U.S. Music Corp. NAMM Booth, 5244, to meet and greet with his fans. After NAMM, Disturbed is going right back out on the road. Dan Donegan is currently using the Randall Cyclone, Randall RM4, and RP2200. In the RM4, Dan runs two SL+'s for his dirty tone and two Ultra's for his even more distorted tone. He uses R412XLT cabinets loaded with Celestion Vintage 30's. "I feel more confident with my tone now!" Says Dan Donegan on his current touring rig.
Cyclone-The Cyclone was originally designed for one thing, hard punching heavy metal & modern rock. With the demand so great for maximum gain & power, the Cyclone delivers on all counts. What we didn't expect was how versatile this amp would be. From the 3-band EQ with mid-sweep, and a 9-band graphic, the Cyclone allows you to dial in any tone from the heaviest modern metal, to the smooth tone of vintage rock. Perfect for drop tuning; hear why artists are beating down our doors to get their hands on this one.
RM4 - The ultimate rack and recording tool! Randall Amplifiers and legendary amp guru Bruce Egnater have joined forces in designing the new MTS series. Introducing the new RM4 modular all tube preamp, the first edition of the new MTS series, with more modular products on the way. Now you can change your amp tone as often as you like, simply by plugging in your choice of any of the 12 available tube preamp modules. This 4-channel preamp gives all the flexibility of any digital modeling amp, but does it with all-tube circuitry, based on the original circuit specifications. The RM4 also allows you to hot swap, and customize any combination of the 12 classic to modern real tube tones. Set up your rig with any range of sounds from the classic country tone of a FenderŪ Deluxe, to full out metal tone with the new Ultra. No longer do you have to dream of having your ultimate collection of tube amps, it's all available with the RM4 modular all-tube preamp.
"Believe," Disturbed's sophomore release rocketed to No. 1 its first week on The Billboard's top 200. With sales of 284,000 copies, knocking the Dixie Chicks' "Home" to No. 2 after three weeks on top. After 13 weeks on the charts, "Believe" has gone Platinum and is holding strong on Billboards Top 100. "We're not reinventing the wheel, but when all of our different playing styles and influences come together, it's a fresh sound. There are old-school elements to what we do, but it's done in a modern way. Even though we're characterized as a metal band, I don't think there are any metal bands out there that sound like us," says Dan Donegan.
Dan will be in the U.S. Music Corp. NAMM Booth 5244 signing autographs.
