TC Electronic introduces PolyTune polyphonic tuner

By now most guitarists and bassists are used to using an electronic tuner of some kind, but TC Electronic is making a bid to make the process simpler with its new PolyTune™, which they are calling "the world’s first polyphonic guitar tuner."

Current guitar tuners require you to tune by plucking one string at a time. But PolyTune™ will tell you which strings need tuning when you simply strum all strings at the same time. So, if you're playing a chord and are unsure which note is out of tune, PolyTune™ promises to make determining this as easy as looking at its LED display. PolyTune™ also recognizes whether you are playing more than one string or a single string; for a single string, the tuner switches automatically to chromatic mode with +/- 0.5 cent accuracy.

PolyTune™ offers uses an ambient light sensor, which automatically matches the intensity of its LEDs to the surroundings. True Bypass allows your signal to flow unaffected when the pedal is bypassed and for silent tuning once engaged.
