Tech 21 introduces revamped SansAmp VT Bass effect

Although amp modeling is most favored by guitarists, bassists deserve to use the technology too, and the SansAmp VT Bass stompbox won favorable reviews for its ability to produce warm, tubelike distortion to SVT emulation to flat-out fuzz. At Winter NAMM 2010, Sansamp introduced the Deluxe version of the VT Bass that features 6 program locations and dual inputs for use with two instruments.

Users can create three custom tones for each input or use all six locations for a single instrument. The VT's FX loop can also be programmed to include an effect each time the designated preset is selected. SansAmp promises simple operation: just turn the knobs to a setting you like, double click on a footswitch and it’s saved in that channel. The unit is phantom power operable or can use a 9V battery or optional AC adapter.

The Deluxe VT Bass is expected to be in store by late April or early May 2010.
