Winner Chosen For VOX Valvetronix Triumph Motorcycle PromotionVoxPosted 2003-03-22 VOX USA ended the year 2002 with rave reviews for its VOX “Road Test” promotion in support of the Valvetronix line of amplifiers. The promotion invited consumers to see and hear for themselves all that Valvetronix has to offer, and was
co-sponsored by Triumph Motorcycles (America) Ltd. and Sam Ash Music. Thousands of entries were received for a contest that featured a Grand Prize of a brand new Triumph Bonneville Motorcycle with a suggested retail value of over $10,000! Other prizes included a VOX Valvetronix AD120VT Combo amplifier, a genuine Triumph Motorcycle leather jacket, and eight VOX Wah Wah pedals. In addition, anyone who purchased a Valvetronix amp during the contest received a free Triumph T-shirt.
VOX USA announced the promotion at all Sam Ash locations and online at the Sam Ash and Triumph Motorcycles (America) Ltd. websites. Additionally, selected Sam Ash locations had an authentic Triumph Bonneville on display for customers to see.
Joe DiNorcia of Bernardsville, New Jersey, a bassist in the blues/metal band Rockin’ Daddy, was the lucky winner of the Triumph Bonneville. DiNorcia stated, “Winning the contest couldn’t have come at a better time — I’ve always rented motorcycles because I couldn’t afford one and now I don’t have to any more thanks to VOX. It’s like a dream come true! I’m glad to see that VOX is still making great amplifiers with the unique VOX sound. You hear it and instantly know it’s a VOX!”
