Alesis releases DM7 USB E-Kit

Alesis’ ever expanding electronic kit catalogue just got a new addition. The DM7 USB Kit has been recently released and is already available to the public. It features redesigned rubbery pads, module and, most excitingly a newly redesigned rack, which has proven to be a real improvement from their time-consuming, somewhat unsteady, plastic-made racks.

The DM7 comes with five-drum pads including a tri-zone snare pad (head, rim and cross-stick), and three cymbal pads that include a chock able crash. The material and technology used on these pads are the same you will find on DM6 model but with a cleaner and simpler look. The DM7 drum module comes with 400 stereo sounds compiled into 50 different kits with the ability to create 30 more on your own. You will also be able to customize settings to your taste, like reverb panning and volume as well as the ability to record up to 10 performances. You can also connect the module to your computer via USB and make use of third-party drum sound libraries such as Toontrack’s EZdrummer, which is included in the package in its “lite” version. What sets this e-kit apart from any other Alesis release is the newly designed rack that is pre-assembled, allowing a much quicker set up. Its four-leg design also is set up to improve stability.

Here are the key features of this new Alesis e-kit:
