Pro-Mark releases new model and two new lines of mallets

One of the most respected and recognized drumstick and drumming accessories manufacturers, Pro-Mark, which recently merged with growing magnate, musical products maker D’addario, is ringing in the new year with two entirely new lines of mallets and a new addition to the Performer Non-Wrapped Mallet Series.

The new Performer Series Timpani Mallets consists of 5 different mallets to cover a broad spectrum of tones and articulations. They feature maple handles and are covered with a unique felt material manufactured in Germany. The result is a line of mallets unequaled in balance for effortless playing, superb tone, and warm sound. The new Performer Series Timpani Mallets will be available February 15, 2011. Its suggested retail price is going to be $47.95 per pair.

Unique in their construction, the new Ensemble Series Mallets features rattan handles for a great feel, and rubber cores wrapped in latex of varying hardnesses. The series includes five models, each of which produces a strong, dark, yet articulate sound. The new Ensemble Series Mallets is in stock and available for immediate delivery. Its suggested retail price is $46.95 per pair.

The PSX50R is the new addition to the Performer Series Mallets. It features a rattan handle and Teflon ball. Made primarily for use on Xylophone, Bells and Glockenspiel, the PSX50R is slightly heavier in weight, and produces a dark, rich, full-bodied tone. The PSX50R joins Pro-Mark’s Non-Wrapped Performer Mallet series, which have no yarn or cord wrapping, and currently offers nine different types of mallets in various sizes and construction materials that include rattan or birch for the stick handle; and exquisite materials for the ball such as aluminum and PVC, and now Teflon. The PSX50R is in stock for immediate delivery. Its suggested retail price is $49.95 per pair.
