Roland improves V-Tour & V-Compact Series

Roland’s V-Drums are easily the most known and respected electronic drums on the market. They feature the outstanding mesh-head technology triggers, which create a very close feel and resemblance to a real acoustic drum. For NAMM 2011, Roland is coming out with some upgrades and refinements for their V-Tour and V-Compact series.
Three newly designed features will be part of both series; the new K-9 Kick Pad, CY-12C V-Cymbal Crash and CY-13R V-Cymbal Ride. The new K-9 Kick Pad was redesigned to offer a better and accurate triggering while providing great feel, dynamic, and response. When used with the upgraded tD-9 sound module, a “muted” bass drum sound can be created by playing hard, similar to leaving the beater against the head of an acoustic bass drum. The CY-12C V-Cymbals Crash and the new lightweight CY-13R ride (with three-way triggering) were optimized to provide a more natural swinging motion when played. The V-Cymbal Crash features choke control and the V-Cymbal Ride comes with an enlarged bow area for enhanced triggering. You will find a few extra features on the V-Tour Series like an improved TD-9 sound module and the VH-11 V-Hi-Hats which mounts on a standard acoustic hi-hat stand. The upgraded TD-9 sound module comes with brand new acoustic snare and bass drum sounds, new kits covering a wider range of musical styles and MP3 file playback compatibility, joining the previously available WAV-file playback.
