Remo’s support for the summer’s most important festivals continued in New Orleans for the New Orleans Jazz and heritage Festival.Taking place on fourteen outdoor stages for two weeks, Remo’s Gavin Carignan and Chris Hart busily supported all of the local through international level artists and bands. Remo's exclusive Drumhead and World Percussion sponsorship complemented the Yamaha drumsets and Sabian cymbals, two of the other music product sponsors of the festival.

“Remo’s two successes of the festival were the Tuff-E-Nuff Congas and NuSkyn heads,” shared Hart. “Artists (such as Remo drumhead artist Lenny Kravitz) loved how they felt, sounded, and looked. All the techs who saw them appreciated how easily tuned they were and loved the durability of the Tuff-E-Nuff finish.”

Other top Remo drumset artists performing included Willie Green playing with the Neville Brothers and Derrick Organ playing for Maze, featuring Frankie Beverly.

The festival’s popularity continues to grow each year, and this summer was no exception. An estimated record attendance level was set for the entire festival of 618,000 people, up 32.6% from the prior year. A single-day attendance record was set on May 5th with an estimated 160,000 people.
