NAMM Update: The New Line 6 Vetta!(Line 6 | Posted 2001-07-20) Wow! As you probably become accustomed to, Line 6 has, well, done it again. The Vetta is their new entry into the marketplace that sports some very impressive features.
First off, the unit employs Point to Point Interactive Modeling. This provides an improved level of detail in the amplifier models. They've modeled everything from aged tubes to filter capacitors. This is really taking amplifier modeling to the next level.
The next impressive thing the Vetta can do is model two different amplifiers at once. For instance you could be running a Vox 30 on your left channel and a Marshall JCM on the other. This sounds really impressive the first time you hear it, but it doesn't prepare you for the next cool feature...
Double Tracking! That's right! A humanized signal can be engaged with a pedal switch that will kick in a second channel that plays the same signal with slight variations that sound like two guitarists are playing the same lines! Incredible.
As icing on the cake, the unit also includes various stompbox models and several new amp models you can mix and match on the digital display or with the new FBX floorboard (optional).
The Vetta is available as a 2x12 50W per side combo or as a 100W per side head unit (Vetta HD). The units will be shipping in the fall at an MSRP of $2399 and $599 for the foot controller.
We won't go into too much detail, but just stay tuned for more on these awesome units. We were blown away in the demo.
