SWR® will proudly display its best-selling line of entry level bass combo amplifiers, the newly upgraded LA Series™, at this winter’s NAMM show in Anaheim, California.
Built with the quality that has become SWR’s trademark, the three amplifiers in the LA Series bring professional SWR tone and versatile features in a package that will appeal to both beginners and working pros alike.
The SWR LA Series—including the LA15, LA12 and LA10 bass amplifiers—also offers the best value in combo bass amps available. Retailers have had tremendous success with the line due to the brand name’s impeccable reputation, and consumers have been attracted the LA Series’ features and tones, which are most often found on much more expensive amplifiers.
“The LA Series of amplifiers represent everything that SWR was built on,” says Bryan Beller, Marketing Manager for SWR. “These amps are perfect for beginners, as well as for the more seasoned players who want an SWR combo amp that’s portable. They’re very versatile, they’re great sounding, they’re tough, and they look and feel like professional pieces of gear, but you won’t need to take out a second mortgage to afford one.”
The LA Series amps are ideal for beginners looking for a great-sounding first bass amp, pros and weekend warriors who want the SWR sound in their living room or bedroom, traveling pros who need a backstage practice amp, and anyone else looking for a great-sounding, small-to-medium gig bass combo amp.
All of the amplifiers in the LA Series feature a classic SWR preamp designed mainly by SWR’s original engineer and founder, Steve W. Rabe. The preamp has a built-in Aural Enhancer™ circuitry, a “tone shaping” audio circuit which brings out fundamental low notes, reduces certain unwanted frequencies, and enhances the high end. LA Series amps also include an easy to use 3-band EQ, 1/4” post-EQ Line-Out/Tuner Out, Stereo Headphone Output with automatic speaker defeat for silent practicing, and Mix Input for practicing along with CD players or drum machines.
Additional enhancements contained in this line-wide upgrade include heavy-duty edgemount handles, an extended-depth cabinet design for more accurate low end response, and a new fast-acting automatic limiter circuit.
The SWR LA Series features three amplifiers with different speaker and power configurations, including: The LA15, a 100-watt, 15” speaker plus tweeter bass combo amp with an MSRP of $499.99; the LA12, a 60-watt, 12” speaker plus tweeter bass combo with an MSRP of $399.99; and the LA10, a 35-watt, 10” speaker bass combo with an MSRP of $299.99.
The SWR LA Series of combo bass amplifiers can be seen and heard at this winter’s NAMM show in Anaheim, California.
