Introducing the Guild Acoustic Design Series

SCOTTSDALE, AZ - In January of 2004, Guild® is pleased to announce the introduction of its all new Guild Acoustic Design Series instruments, boasting three newly created guitars made with Guild’s signature standards of superior craftsmanship. With suggested retail prices starting at $899.99, these new models represent the best value ever offered from the venerable guitar maker, and they can be seen and heard for the first time at Guild’s booth at this winter’s NAMM show in Anaheim, California.
The three new models of the Guild Acoustic Design Series—the jumbo body GAD-JF30, the dreadnaught body GAD-50 and the dreadnaught with cutaway GAD-40C—each follow in Guild’s tradition of creating high quality instruments. Only the finest materials and building techniques go into these models, including top-grade tone woods, scalloped brace tops, wood bindings, dovetailed neck joints, bone nuts and saddles, and ebony bridge pins.
The new Guild Acoustic Design Series features a variety of different body shapes and woods that offer musicians an array of tonal possibilities. The GAD-JF30 is a jumbo-shaped guitar with solid spruce top and solid flame maple back and sides, which give the guitar its bright tones and added resonance with its larger body style. The GAD-50 features a dreadnaught body shape with solid spruce top and solid Indian rosewood back and sides, accenting the complete tonal range.
For players who enjoy a guitar with a cutaway that allows easy access to the higher frets, the new GAD-40C is an ideal choice. This guitar is dreadnaught body style with a single cutaway, and it features a solid spruce top with solid mahogany back and sides for a distinctly warm tone.
All of the guitars in the Guild Acoustic Design Series have one-piece mahogany necks with Indian rosewood fretboards and pearl inlays. The classic Guild headstocks feature a natural finish with the Guild Chesterfield logo inlaid in mother-of-pearl. All of the guitars also come with a Guild hardshell case.
