January 15, 2004 - NAMM Expo- StudioLogic Keyboard Controllers, manufactured in Italy by FATAR, the world leader in the design and manufacturer of MIDI Keyboard Controllers and exclusively distributed in the United States by Music Industries Corp., NAMM BOOTH 4334, introduces the new StudioLogic VMK-88 (Virtual Music Controller), MIDI keyboard controller to its popular StudioLogic controller series.
The VMK-88 features semi-weighted action with aftertouch, and fully programmable knobs, buttons, sliders and pedals, as well as an LCD display, pitch wheel, and a data entry wheel. The VMK-88 is the perfect MIDI keyboard controller interface for the professional or home project computer musician.
Lighter, at only 14-pounds, and smaller than any of its 88-note predecessor sister keyboard controllers, the VMK-88's incredibly small foot print is perfect for even the most cramped project studio, yet still features FATAR's world renown semi-weighted, mechanical keyboard action and MIDI functions that has made StudioLogic the 'Number One' MIDI keyboard controller line in the world.
Additional operational features include 8 x 2 programmable knobs, 8 x 2 programmable buttons, 9 x 3 programmable sliders, 4 programmable pedal inputs, and sequencer controls. The VMK-88 also includes a sustain pedal, an AC adapter, and a MIDI-to-USB converter. The US suggested list price of the VMK-88 is $799.95.
