A DIGITAL FIRST: YAMAHA UNVEILS BBT 500H DIGITAL BASS AMPLIFIER

ANAHEIM, CA—Yamaha builds on its strength as a leader in digital technology to ýcreate an entirely new product category for the bass guitar player with the Winter NAMM ýdebut of the BBT 500H. As the world’s first all digital bass amplifier, the BBT 500H ýoffers a total of 11 different amp sounds, onboard effects and amazing tone shaping ýcapability to suit any style of music in a powerful, compact package.ý

ý“The BBT 500H gives bass players all the advantages of digital technology,” ýstates Joseph Brasler, marketing manager, Yamaha Guitars. “It’s amazingly clean and ýpowerful, ultra-light and has the wide variety of amp sounds, effects and versatile ýconnectivity you would expect from a revolutionary digital product from Yamaha.”ý

The BBT 500H delivers 250 watts of power into 4 ohms (500 W into 2 ohms). ýThe 5-band, frequency-variable tone controls; single-band, fully parametric EQ; ýCompressor; and programmable FX blend controls are easily accessible from the front ýpanel. The BBT 500H also features a built-in effects loop, MIDI in/out and speaker ýsimulator for additional versatility.

ý Connections include ¼” line and balanced XLR outputs, two ¼” speaker outputs, ýtuner outputs and a headphone jack for practicing. Lightweight, yet roadworthy ýconstruction makes the BBT 500H ideal for transporting to practice sessions and gigs. ý Other models in the series, to be released throughout 2004, include: the ý BBT 500C Combo (1 x 12”and 1” tweeter), S110B (1 x 10” and 1”), S210B (2 x 10” and ýý1” tweeter) and the S410B (4 x 10” and 1” tweeter).ý
