AKG Acoustics is introducing three new German-made K & M microphone stands at NAMM booth # 6766. The three new stands, model numbers KM256/80, KM260/80 and KM260/85, all feature one-hand, soft-touch grip releases that are designed for quick and easy height adjustment.

The new KM256/80 microphone stand has a tripod base that folds-up for maximum stability and ease of transport. This base design is often used with a boom for on-stage instrument miking. It features a height range of 37.4 to 60.2 inches and weighs only 4.7 lbs. The KM256/80 has a retail price of $108.

AKG’s KM260/80 microphone stand has a heavy, round cast-iron base designed for stability. Intended for vocalists and instrument applications, this base has a compact, space-saving design for stage use. It features a height range of 36.2 to 59.1 inches and weighs 14.7 lbs. The KM260/80 has a retail price of $99.

The KM260/85 microphone stand has a light-weight, round base designed to save space on-stage during performances. The compact base design is intended for on-stage vocals, and has a height range of 36.2 to 59.1 inches, weighing only 8.8 lbs. The KM260/85 has a retail price of $86. All of AKG’s microphone stands include a two-year warranty.

“I’m pleased with the durability and ease of use of the new microphone stands,” says Tom Stotler, Market Development Manager, Tour Sound from AKG in Nashville. “The new one-hand grip is the first of its kind for Konig & Meyer and will make height adjustment quick and easy for the performer. This is great news for musicians and tour companies.”
