The three new stands, model numbers KM256/80, KM260/80 and KM260/85, all feature one-hand, soft-touch grip releases that are designed for quick and easy height adjustment.
The new KM256/80 microphone stand has a tripod base that folds-up for maximum stability and ease of transport. This base design is often used with a boom for on-stage instrument miking. It features a height range of 37.4 to 60.2 inches and weighs only 4.7 lbs. The KM256/80 has a retail price of $108.
AKG’s KM260/80 microphone stand has a heavy, round cast-iron base designed for stability. Intended for vocalists and instrument applications, this base has a compact, space-saving design for stage use. It features a height range of 36.2 to 59.1 inches and weighs 14.7 lbs. The KM260/80 has a retail price of $99.
The KM260/85 microphone stand has a light-weight, round base designed to save space on-stage during performances. The compact base design is intended for on-stage vocals, and has a height range of 36.2 to 59.1 inches, weighing only 8.8 lbs. The KM260/85 has a retail price of $86. All of AKG’s microphone stands include a two-year warranty.
