The new Discreet Acoustics Compact Series (DAC) provides top-quality AKG sound at very affordable prices. The DAC series delivers AKG’s legendary, “voice friendly” sound thanks to Austrian acoustic expertise. The Discreet Acoustics Compact Series is comprised of two 12-inch and two 20-inch gooseneck microphones with the choice of cardioid or hypercardioid versions, and a hanging cardioid “choir” microphone. A three-pin XLR type connector and complete line of mounting accessories means the DAC series can be customized for almost any application.
DAC models CGN 321E and CGN 521E are cardioid microphones with a frequency range of 70 to 18,000 Hz and a sensitivity of 18mV/PA. The CGN 321E has a retail price of $198 and weighs 5.7 oz. (160 grams). The CGN 521E has a retail price of $198 and weighs 6 oz. (170 grams).
DAC models CGN 323E and CGN 523E are hypercardioid microphones with a frequency range of 50 to 19,000 Hz and a sensitivity of 12mV/PA. The CGN 323E has a retail price of $218 and weighs 5.7 oz. (160 grams). The CGN 523E has a retail price of $218 and weighs 6 oz. (170 grams).
The CHM 21 hanging “choir” cardioid microphone has a frequency range of 70 to 18,000 Hz and a sensitivity of 18mV/PA. The CHM 21 has a retail price of $198 and weighs 0.7 oz. (20 grams).
The DAC models use rugged, all metal parts making them tough enough to withstand the rigors of portable or fixed installation use. Each DAC gooseneck model uses single rigid wear-resistant 8mm flexpipe between the XLR connector and extension tube. The hanging microphone comes with 338 inches (10 m) of twist resistant cable and positioning hanger. The DAC series comes standard with windscreen and mounting flange accessories, plus a complete line of optional accessories for any installation.
